+seasoning (poultry, salt pepper, etc..)

+bring tri tip to room temperature, coat in seasoning,
+preheat oven to 450, add tri tip roast to oven in cast iron skillet and cook for 15 minutes.

+drop temperature to 200 and cook until internal temperature reads 130.
